Loans and Credit Processing Unit Senior Associate  

Main Responsibility: Evaluate and review business loan applications. The LCPU Senior Associate will assist in assessing the creditworthiness of applicants to ensure timely loan approvals and efficient processing.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Loan Application Review and Documentation:
   • • Review and validate documentary requirements for loan applications endorsed by Team 1 (UI) and Team 3 (UFII), ensuring completeness and compliance with internal standards.
2. Financial and Credit Analysis:
   • • Prepare financial spreadsheets and evaluate the applicant’s financial performance based on submitted documents.
     • Assess creditworthiness by analyzing financial health, cash flow capacity, business viability, and related party risks.
3. Credit Evaluation and Recommendation:
   • • Process credit evaluation requests and prepare well-supported recommendations on loan structure, credit terms, and limits.
     • Develop comprehensive credit analysis reports, including financial projections (if necessary), and borrower’s risk rating using standard internal template.
4. Portfolio Management and Monitoring:
   • • Monitor approved credit lines, track expiry and utilization, and recommend adjustments to credit limits based on updated analysis.
5. Coordination and Collaboration:
   • • Work closely with the Credit and Collection Unit to facilitate appraisals and credit investigations.
     • Participate in client calls and meetings with Account Officers to gather insights for business and credit evaluation.
6. Other Duties:
   • • Perform other tasks and special assignments as may be required to support the department’s objectives and the organization’s strategic goals.

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.

Experience:

• Proven experience (1-3 years) as a Credit Analyst, Financial Analyst, or in a related role.
• Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and credit analysis is highly desired.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Word
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.

Analytical Skills:

• Ability to analyze financial data and draw meaningful conclusions
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot trends and anomalies in financial statements.
• Ability to assess risk and make sound recommendations based on financial data.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports and present findings to senior management.

Problem-Solving:

• Strong problem-solving skills to identify credit risks and propose solutions to mitigate them.

Time Management

• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
