Purchasing Assistant  

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing suppliers and requesting quotations.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of materials.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding deliveries and order status.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse, Production, QA, and Accounting departments.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier files, and procurement reports.
• Compare supplier prices and negotiate for cost-effective purchasing.
• Resolve delivery discrepancies, shortages, and supplier concerns.
• Ensure purchased materials comply with company quality and food safety standards.
• Perform other purchasing and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or any related course.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
• Experience in a Food Manufacturing company is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP/SAP is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
