Event Streaming Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Event Streaming Engineer (Kafka) to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing real-time event streaming solutions that enable seamless data integration across enterprise systems. You will work closely with software engineering, data, and infrastructure teams to build scalable and reliable event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain real-time data streaming pipelines using Apache Kafka or other event streaming platforms.
• Implement and manage event-driven architectures to support business-critical applications.
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of streaming systems.
• Collaborate with development, data engineering, and DevOps teams to integrate Kafka into enterprise systems and applications.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kafka clusters and related components.
• Develop best practices, documentation, and automation scripts for Kafka operations.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies in stream processing and event-driven systems.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Kafka Engineer / Event Streaming Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (design, implementation, monitoring, and optimization).
• Solid understanding of event-driven architecture (EDA), distributed systems, and real-time data processing.
• Familiarity with Kafka ecosystem components (Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, Kafka Streams, kSQL).
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or Scala).
• Experience with DevOps tools (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
• Preferably certified in Kafka, Event Streaming Platforms, or Event-Driven Architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
