- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database systems
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and storage
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies
- Perform regular backups, recovery testing, and disaster recovery planning
- Manage database access, roles, and permissions
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and outages
- Support database design and schema changes for applications
- Implement high availability and replication solutions
- Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong experience with one or more DBMS platforms:
- Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Proficiency in SQL and query optimization
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies
- Knowledge of database security best practices
