Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend microservices using Node.js and/or Golang
- Build and enhance distributed modular monorepo services supporting core business functions
- Develop and maintain event-driven systems using message brokers such as Kafka and NSQ
- Integrate internal systems with third-party APIs
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code (TDD & defensive programming)
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold coding standards
- Analyze existing systems and propose technical improvements or optimizations
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability
- Collaborate through pair programming and technical discussions with internal teams and clients
- Monitor system performance using tools such as Grafana and debug logs effectively
- Take ownership and accountability for developed features and services
Minimum Qualifications
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience as a Backend Developer
- Proficient in Node.js and/or Golang
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka or message queues
- Experience with containerization tools (Docker/Podman) and Kubernetes
- Familiar with CI/CD and agile development practices (TDD preferred)
- Strong SQL skills and comfortable working with command line interfaces
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs
- Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (OOP, data structures, algorithms)
- Good documentation and architectural thinking skills
- Proficient in system monitoring and debugging using tools like Grafana
- Excellent communication skills (technical & non-technical)
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Nice to Have
- Experience with Elasticsearch
- Experience working in fintech or high-traffic systems
- Experience in Vue.js (for full-stack collaboration)
