Job Description
Overview:
As a Managed Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and performance of our client's infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing and supporting Microsoft WPS, Collaboration Services, Azure, on-premises networks, and SQL and Oracle databases.
Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management:
- Monitor and manage the performance of Microsoft WPS, Collaboration Services (MS Teams, MS Exchange, OneDrive), Azure, on-premises networks, SQL, and Oracle databases.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues to maintain optimal system performance.
- Implement and maintain best practices for infrastructure management, including security, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Problem Resolution:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to Microsoft WPS, Collaboration Services, Azure, on-premises networks, SQL, and Oracle databases.
- Provide timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
- Service Desk Support:
- Respond to end-user inquiries and support requests related to Microsoft WPS, Collaboration Services, Azure, on-premises networks, SQL, and Oracle databases.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Project Implementation:
- Assist in the implementation of new infrastructure components or upgrades.
- Configure and test new systems to ensure compatibility and performance.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for infrastructure components and processes.
- Create knowledge base articles and procedures for reference.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Strong technical expertise in Microsoft WPS, Collaboration Services (MS Teams, MS Exchange, OneDrive), Azure, on-premises networks, SQL, and Oracle databases.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with ITIL or other service management frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, or related technologies.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Knowledge of IT security best practices.
