Job Description
- Oversee and manage the claims process for both life and health insurance products, including inpatient/outpatient and critical illness claims.
- Conduct thorough investigations of individual product claims, aligning with the company's digital roadmap to handle a higher volume of individual products.
- Collaborate with the Head of Operations to optimize claims processes, aiming to reduce reliance on large claim teams by leveraging software and NGO/field networks.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving claims efficiency and effectiveness.
- Engage directly in the claims investigation process, demonstrating a hands-on approach and ensuring high standards of accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide training and guidance to the claims team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and performance excellence.
- Prepare detailed reports and analysis for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive experience in managing claims for both life and health insurance products.
- Significant experience in investigating individual product claims, with a focus on digital processes.
- Previous experience in a joint venture (JV) insurance company.
- Strong understanding of cultural and capability requirements, particularly in relation to performance improvement and a hands-on approach.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize claims processes and effectively utilize software and external networks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field; medical background (MD) is a plus.
- Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
