Server Engineer

Experience Level: Middle Level

• Server Administration: Install, configure, manage, and maintain both physical and virtual servers (VMware, Hyper-V, or Cloud-based).
• System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including operating system patching, application upgrades, and hardware lifecycle management.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Act as an escalation point for complex server-related issues, diagnosing and resolving problems related to performance, networking, and stability.
• Monitoring & Alerting: Configure and manage system monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and ensure optimal performance and capacity.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, firewall configuration, and vulnerability remediation.
• Automation: Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and configuration management playbooks (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) to automate repetitive tasks and infrastructure deployment.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Manage and test backup solutions and participate in disaster recovery planning and exercises.

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in server administration or a related IT infrastructure role.
• Operating Systems: Proven proficiency in managing and troubleshooting both Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy) and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) environments.
• Has experience in using Kubernetes and one of these tools (Kafka, RabbmitMQ, Redis) (Mandatory)
• Has experience in using AWS Cloud / Google Cloud / Alibaba Cloud
• Virtualization: Strong working knowledge of a major virtualization platform (VMware vSphere preferred).
• Able to speak in English (user interview will be in English)
