About Us
Kitar is a growing second-hand mobile phone retailer launching our new online store across various online platforms (Kitar website and e-commerce platforms). We aim to provide customers with high-quality, certified pre-owned mobile phones at affordable prices. To ensure an excellent customer experience, we are looking for a dynamic and motivated Business Development – Store Opening to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Real Estate Channel Development
- Identify and secure partnerships with premium shopping centres across major Indonesian cities.
- Build strong relationships with mall management, commercial agents, and key decision-makers.
- Conduct market research and feasibility analysis based on demographics, foot traffic, pricing, and brand positioning.
- Commercial Negotiations & Partnership Agreements
- Lead negotiations on rental terms, space allocation, and key commercial clauses.
- Evaluate the financial and strategic value of each potential agreement.
- Coordinate with finance and legal teams to align on acceptable terms.
- Finalise and execute binding partnership agreements.
- End-to-End Store Opening Project Management
- Oversee the full store opening process from signing to grand opening.
- Manage licensing, regulatory approvals, and business registration.
- Coordinate store setup, construction progress, and quality assurance.
- Ensure on-time, on-budget launch through proactive issue resolution and team alignment.
- Relationship Maintenance & Continuous Partnership
- Maintain strong post-opening relationships with mall management.
- Provide performance updates on sales, traffic, and promotions.
- Serve as the main liaison for operational coordination and issue handling.
- Support long-term partnership growth, expansion, and renegotiation opportunities
Minimum Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in commerce, business, marketing, international business, management, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in business development, retail expansion, channel development, or other commercially driven roles.
- Strong understanding of Indonesia’s retail and commercial landscape, including market dynamics, partnership structures, and local business practices.
- Proven commercial negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); bilingual proficiency is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to independently handle multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, target-driven environments while maintaining strong execution standards.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in Indonesia's FMCG, retail, F&B, or beauty & wellness sector channel development
- Track record of successfully launching or expanding business operations across multiple locations.
- Background in secondhand trade, recycling, electronics retail, or related sectors
