Job Description
The PHP Web Developer reports to the Project Scrum Master of the project that he/she belongs to and to his/her immediate supervisor (assigned Senior PHP Web Developer). The PHP Web Developer is responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users.
His/Her primary focus will be the following:
- Maintain and enhance existing Symfony-based CMS:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the CMS.
- Implement new features and functionalities as required.
- Optimize performance and scalability of the CMS. - Develop and integrate new modules:
- Design and develop custom modules to meet specific business requirements.
- Ensure seamless integration of new modules with the existing CMS architecture. - Create new websites using the CMS:
- Configure and customize the CMS to create new websites based on predefined templates or from scratch.
- Manage content and design elements for new websites. - Collaborate with the development team:
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation and standards. - Stay updated with industry trends and technologies:
- Research and learn about new PHP, Symfony, and related technologies.
- Proactively suggest improvements and innovations to the CMS.
Minimum Qualifications
Skills And Qualifications
- Must at least be a graduate of BS Computer Science, BS Information Technology and/or other related courses.
- Strong proficiency in PHP and its object-oriented programming paradigm.
- In-depth knowledge of Symfony framework and its components (e.g., Doctrine, Twig, Routing, Security).
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases and SQL query optimization.
- Understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Preferably experienced with Symfony 5 or later versions.
- Knowledge of JavaScript and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
- Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A portfolio of previous work.
