Technical Writer  

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, computer sciences preferred. - Five (5) years of experience in software technical writing (preferably in the financial technology industry). - Two years of experience documenting APIs. - Experience working on Agile teams. - Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the intended audiences. - Experience working in a digital writing environment with evolving processes, applications, and platforms. - Ability to handle multiple deadlines and/or products at the same time. - Experience working directly with developers, architects, solutions engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to help document (and define) new products and features. - Proficiency in mark down language (basic HTML a plus). - Proficiency in working in a content management system (Adobe Experience Manager, Drupal). - Proficiency working in a backlog management tool (Jira, VersionOne). - Working knowledge of communications style guides (preferably Microsoft Manual of Style, AP Style Guide). - Enthusiastic, proactive person, who professionally conducts themselves as a reliable member of the overall product technical writing team.

• The technical writer is part of a larger product operations’ technical writing team and is responsible for the content and the accuracy of technical documentation and instructional material related to software payment products, functions, and capabilities in a digital environment.
• - Responsible for end user product documentation in collaboration with an Agile team. - Writing clear and concise instructional and payment API documentation for customer integration partners and external developer audiences. - Working with product, UX and developers to shape the entirety of the product and digital experience.
• Non-negotiable/Required: - Experience in Developer Portal / API - Understanding of electronic transaction processing; FinTech industry knowledge is highly preferable. - Experience writing common forms of developer documentation (API reference, integration content, digital customer guides).
